Nonprofit-Sponsored Housing for Open Occupancy

This historic publication reviews the HFA-insured Section 221(d)(3) mortgage insurance program and the Section 202 direct loans for elderly housing. The goal of this publication was to assist private nonprofit organizations to build upon the successes thus far attained to provide low- to moderate-income housing to white and nonwhite households alike.
