This research report, prepared by Drs. S. Baker and M. Perry at the University of Surrey, is part two of a comprehensive study interrogating the market for purpose-built housing for retirees in the United Kingdom. The authors analyze the results of advertisements placed in five local newspapers and responded to by 317 home-owners aged 60 and over, in an attempt to answer questions pertaining to housing preferences and demand.
